We are one operating arm of HZW Holdings Pty Ltd, a privately-owned company based in Western Australia. The HZW corporate structure is shown below:
The co-owners and Directors of HZW Holdings are Dr Andy Gabell, Helen Tuckett, and Wayne Hewison.
Andy and Helen were co-founders of Canadian Micro Gravity Ltd (“CMG”) with Dan Olson and Arkady Shabanov in 2003, and Wayne Hewison joined the company in 2004.
In 2012 CMG was re-structured and became a dedicated gravimeter sales company, while CMG Operations (now Transparent Earth Geophysics) was formed, with no common shareholding with CMG, to provide airborne and marine gravimetry technology and services.
Matt Gray, our Data Processing Manager has been working with us since 2006, Geoff Wells, Research Engineer, joined us in 2015, and Cassie Gabell joined our accounts department in 2016.
Collectively our staff have a wealth of experience and have been responsible for the acquisition of more than 1M line km of high quality airborne gravity data in 39 countries.
From its formation, TEG has devoted significant resources to a research and development program in pursuit of the next generation of gravimeter technology.
The most significant of these projects was a project funded by a CRC-P grant which commenced in September 2017 and finished in September 2019. Read more about the project here. The GTz® gravimeter was also one of the outcomes of this project.
Other project outcomes resulted in the formation of Astronav in 2019 to pursue development of space navigation and gravimetry technology in collaboration with Intuitive Machines LLC of Houston, TX. Intuitive Machines is one of the first 2 companies selected by NASA to take their science payloads to the lunar surface, and they are scheduled to launch in 2021.
